Alpaca Heather Sport by Manos of Uruguay is a gorgeous blend of ecru wool and alpaca in three natural colors, that creates three heather bases: Toast, Beige and Grey. Each base is then hand dyed in our beautiful colors, to create a rich subtle tones, perfect for colorwork.

The undyed bases; Beige, Toast and Gray, are sold in 100g/300 meter hanks. The kettle-dyed semi-solid colors are sold in 50g/150 meter hanks.

Fiber Content: 70% wool and 30% alpaca
Weight: Sport
Yardage: dyed: approx. 164 yds /150 meters per 1.7oz / 50g
undyed/natural: 328 yds / 300 mts per 3.5oz / 100g
Suggested Gauge : 24 – 28 sts = 4″ / 10 cm
Needle Size: US 3 – 5 / 3.25 – 3.75 mm

Care Instructions:

Hand-wash in cool water, lay flat to dry.

Our favorite method for washing all hand knits! Fill a sink or basin with cool water and submerge the fabric in water, gently squeezing out any air bubbles so that the piece can remain under water without being held there. Soak work for 20-30 minutes, allowing fabric to become completely saturated. Remove excess moisture by rolling your fabric between clean, dry towels with light pressure. Lay fabric flat and shape to air dry.
