Ellsworth Pattern

An oversized, boxy shirt with a dropped back hem and half placket. Swingy and absurdly comfortable.

All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless otherwise stated.

Skill level – intermediate.

Fabric suggestions – Cairo Linen, Nova cotton poplin, Sicily Linen/Cotton, Jubilee Cotton, Cotton Ikat. Do not choose anything too heavy, as the back is lower than the front it will pull down making it uncomfortable at the neck!

You will need:

• Matching thread.
• Buttons – 6 x 11-15MM/1/2″ – 3/4″.
• Lightweight interfacing – 0.3M/1/2YD
