Do you hate to knit a swatch? Have you ever knit something and found it came out too large or too small? In this class you will learn how to accurately figure out your gauge and then apply it to your chosen project.
Preparation required:
Choose a pattern you would like to knit (or have knit) and make at a minimum, a 4″X4″ swatch in the yarn you want to use for the project. Leave your needles attached to the work (do not bind off). Bring your swatch and pattern to the session.
I recommend choosing a pattern that has the gauge stated in stocking knit stitch (all knit stitches on one side and purl stitches on the other side). If the pattern is knit in the round then you need to swatch in the round. Here are instructions on how to do that.
Please familiarize yourself with our class policies before enrolling.
